Head Chef Instructor Ben Bedard

Chef Benjamin Bedard has been the Head Chef at Pueblo Community College (PCC) for about five years now. He is very dedicated instructor he puts his students needs first above his own family. However, it helps when his wife Michelle Bedard is also culinary arts instructor at PCC. It was kind of cool to watch them two go back and forth on who’s going to be the babysitter and while the other one worked his/her students. Chef Ben puts in countless hours of being the Head Chef at PCC. He has put on over 300 banquets this year alone. They have over 300 to 400 people. He put on banquets for weddings, funerals, fundrasiers, and all kinds of parties.

Chef Ben always enjoyed cooking ever since he was six years old he always enjoyed helping his mother cooking the kitchen. He attended University of Nevada where he received his bachelors in culinary arts. He has been cooking and competing professionally for over 15 years. He also enjoys working with students at the college because he enjoys watching the students learn and grow.

This weekend Chef Ben's class had a competition for the best designed food. It was her final project for their class.
